I was out in Ontario working on a trench line for the upcomming April movie shoot.

My buddy had to head back to the farm to grab some tools so I was out there in the woods by myself.

Not 2 minutes after he left I heard some funny noises about 100 yards behind me, but figured, i was the woods, it was propbably some animals doing something.

Over the next ten minutes I heard the sound move to a place off to my left, but payed no attention to it.

Then I turned my back to that area to do some work.  I kept hearing something comming through the woods towards me.  I looked a couple times, but saw nothing.  I figured it was a chipmonk or something of that sort.

A few minutes later, I heard something behind me.  I turned around expecting to see the little chipmonk.
What I saw was a medium size coyote about 15 feet from me.  I just about jumped out of my skin. I did not expect to see that.  When I jumped, it scared him as much as me and he ran off as fast as he could.

Not having my glasses on at the time I noted that in the trees and scrubb, it looked just like a Mtn. lion.

I laughed to myself thinking how your eyes can play tricks on you.

I think it was just curious more than anything, but damn. This is the first time I ever went out there without a firearm.  It will be the last.

Moral, go into the woods with a weapon, and when you hear something sneaking up behind you. LOOK!

The right side has some cool FX shots.

The left side is the trailer for the movie.  The first two are about fighting their way into the heart of Germany to get to some secret weapons.  In the third movie you see what the "weapon" is.

I die in the clip about 2/3 of the way through.  The camera is behind me, and I am the assistant gunner on the MG-34.  I die and fall the the left shooting my Mp-40.

No, but you might pass for an SS re-enactor!

He was just as scared of me as I was of him.

let me know as time draws closer.  I can probably dig out my dad's 1st LT uniform.  Parts of which might have acutally been there.  Now, I gotta think real hard and long if I'd be willing to put blanks through my garand?

Putting the blanks through it is not the hard decision. Blank adapting it is a bigger choice.  You could always operate it manually. They can ad the shots in by computer.

The MG launched the blank adaptor about ten shots into the day and I didn't bring a spare.  The sound and flash came from the few shots we got off.  hey used the computer to ad the rest of the muzzle flashes and dubbed in the sound from early in he shoot.
