Fun show in Dayton 9/20 & 9/21. I'll be going on Sat. Anyone want to meet at the show in the morning? How about a get together at Miller's to blast a little ammo in the afternoon? I just might have a third 1919 done by then. We should realy be able to turn the paper punchers heads when we start blasting 1600- 1800 rounds per minute down range.

IM up for it. What time are you planning on getting to the show?
IM sure my buddy would be up for the show and shoot and if any of you sissy's are up for it we could shoot some pool afterword in the clubhouse....I'll bring the cooler this time Anytime around 10-12 is good for me as far as the show goes. |
I'll probably get to the show around 11:00. All I need to get there is several K of ammo!
IM not sure what I need yet. I still have alot of .223. I'll definetly get some 7.62
I always figure out what I need to get at the gunshow at the gunshow. I do need some beretta mags for my XD9...or was it taurus? |
I'm planning on hitting the show around 11:00 or so. I'm donating blood at 9:15 and driving up following that.
Where is Millers? Red-Leg |
I'm up for that. Don't know if I will be shooting as I am recovering from shoulder surgery.
Never heard of Miller's, is this new? |
Red-Leg, Millers is in Waynesville.
Glimmerman68, Millers isnt new to me. Ive been shooting there for about 4 years now. Not many people from ARFKOM seemed to know about it. ITs basically a big field with a berm...nothing fancy. Heres the thread with more infowww.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=12&t=172212 Brian |
Millers? That is a new one. To me. Would like to check it out.
I will ASSume you go to the Wilmington show. We have probably past each other and don't even know. Have yet to met any ARFcomers. I will also ASSume you live near there. I live in Riverside/Dayton. |

Just checked the weather, as of noon today it is supposed to rain next Saturday.
F***ing figures. mike |
I know, it's just the idea. Weather people are useless.
Can only hope for the best. mike |
Ive been to the Wilmington show once last winter when we had all that snow. Im in the Springboro area. As for the rain...they were building a shelter at Millers last time I was there at about 30 yards or so. |
Ive never bought much at Springboro Shooters supply. The owner was my history teacher in 8th grade though. Nice guys, just dont have too much of anything Im interested in.
Have never been inside, but it doesn't look much bigger than a closet from the outside.
Earlier would be better at the show, I'm heading to some dirt tracking racing Saturday night, Dodge Million at Eldora, but don't let me break up a good thing as I'd have to leave Millers by 3 or so.
I could be at the show by 10. Maybe spend an hour or so there and be at the range by at least 12....but just for you TZ99
Okay what time and how are we going to recognize each other???
Theres usually enough room to park way out. We could park way out in the lot. I know AW4evers truck and I'll be in a white mustang. Unless they have it in the first building theres usually plenty of parking.
Doesn't matter what building, we should meet by the golf course. Along the fence.
Time? BTW I have a black GMC Sonoma. |
Everyone got a FRS radio? Pick a channel and can figure out where everyone is pretty easy. I'll be in a blue Civic
Since I dont know what it is I probablly dont have FRS radio Is the golf course all the way in the back of the lot glimmerman?
IM up for 10am if everyone else can. |
I can try for 10:00am. I work nights though and am used to getting up at noon or 1:00pm.
I'm easy to spot, I'm the redneck looking guy. Oh wait that's most people at a funshow. |
Golf course is on the east side of the arena. I can be there at 10.
Hell I didn't even know there was a golf course nearby. East side of the arena I understand though.
FWIW FRS radios are those little walkie-talkies with 38 channels. |
Maybe a militia looking guy but too smart to be a redneck...thats what I keep trying to tell my friend that was with us last time. Stonerstudent: of you grab my butt Im kickin your ass |
The only one to worry about is the crazy-red head with the machine shop in his SUV! |
A machine shop in his SUV??? Do ya think he could finish an 80% lower for me?
Okay, I guess we are still getting together Sat at 10 on the east of the building. Correct???
I'm planning on being there at 10.
East end of the parking lot by the fence near the golf course right? I'll be in a blue Civic. |
You do rember what happened to those mini vans at Bullet Fest don't you?
At least now I won't need to bring targets!! |
IM going to bring some bottles with me this time....I wish I had an old TV to bring
Damn your no fun......your safe |
Got a dead server call while I was at the show so I couldn't get out to the shoot, but I did pick up a few of the ever elusive SA Battlepacks for $40 each. I couldn't believe somebody still had them much less selling them for only a few dollars more than when they were everywhere.
IT was a pretty good time red-leg. Got to meet glimmerman68 and stonerstudent for the fist time. The only thing I bought was some action blocks for my AR. Ended up getting to the range by 12:30 or so and stayed till 5:30....man Iam red! IT was a blast even though one of AW4evers 1919's was giving him fits
Ya shoulda been there |
Good time was had by all. Damn I got a hell of a burn though
Wasn't to impressed with the folks that showed up and insisted on shooting thier rifles blowing brass at my car, or behind where we were lined up. Even got the Bushy to bump a couple times from the shoulder, now to limit the overtravel to make it easier |
Well I think I found the problem with the 1919. The disconector spring had gone south.
Have you guys checked out the thread on the FAL FILES yet? Trailerpark Milita. |
TZ99: Im not sure those guys heard you the first time. One of those casings hit me in the back though! Was it that CETME they were shooting that was throwing them all over the place?
AW4ever: do you have a link to that thread? Im glad you figured out what was wrong with Betty(my own personal name for her) |
Was the G3 knockoff they had, guess it was a CETME, didn't look at it to well. Think they caught when I was swatting the brass back at them... 3-4 steps forward would have solved the whole thing. Though it would have been to much work to walk that far from thier vehicles.
I'm not having any luck finding the TrailerPark thread on Fal Files either. |
I had a blast, pun intended. Yes that was a CETME. Heard on of them say it was from century. Never heard anything good about century. And they were rather rude.
tz, I got a good burn too. You were there 5 hours. Me, 6. You can call me a redneck now. AW, glad you figured out what was wrong. It was still a great/fun toy to play with. Looking forward to our next outing. |
It was good to meet you guys,Wished I could have gone to the shoot, well maybe next time.
