Holy cow, where are you?

Stunningly gorgeous almost cloudless morning here in Costa Mesa.  Just enoyed a pleasant walk to work through the barrio.

pieeater: The S.F.-area always gets direct hit from storm fronts from the Gulf of Alaska.  By the time the front gets down to So. Calif, it has either dumped much of its moisture or have been deflected by a high pressure ridge.  Currently in the San Gabriel Valley(10 miles east of Los Angeles) we're sunny 60ºF and winds are calm.  My family has scheduled a trip to Disneyland on Tues 4/4, but I think it is going to be cancelled because of certain rain.

BTW: Disneyland is now charging $60 for adult admission.

It feels like Oregon

More like Washington, as southern Oregon gets the same rainfall we do on the central coast

I imagine this is what life would be like in Seattle.

It was 80 degrees in February, and now this.

I'm a little tired of the rain also. I have 5 dogs. I think my kitchen floor used to be white tile. Not sure anymore it's been so long since there's been no muddy paw prints on it.

Does that mean the quarry has thawed out?

I had a brief break from it this past weekend in Coalinga, even though it was raining there all week.

as soon as I hit 101 by Gilroy Sunday afternoon, it starts to dump on me

maybe the ant burners are doing some kind of weird dance with chicken blood and rum

On the plus side, fire season will be delayed AND the BLM might decide to keep the gate to Panoche Hills open a little longer beyond April 15th.

I might as well have stayed home. Looks like the weather is better up there.

Plus you guys can't drive for shit in the rain.

We are now at 620 inches of snow for the season here in Mammoth. Thats 51.6 FEET of snow, so who wants to complain now? I'll trade you a day of rain for a day a shoveling the decks.

When it rains in the Bay area, it snows a couple feet here.

The quarry is under about 8 feet of snow.

That was before last night. I got another 6 inches overnight and the quarry is 2000 feet higher.

Been a while since I saw turkeys in a shootable location.  The last few times they were in the big lawn at a church camp, which tries to promote vegetarianism.  (Doesn't work with us as we threatened to bring our own BBQs and tri-tips if we didn't get real food.  Make great bread and soup though)  Probably would have caused way too much hate and discontent.  they aren't all hippie freaks as the last few times I've been there there was 22 and 9mm brass at the "archery" range.

But last week saw wild pigs around SR-58 east of Santa Margarita.  I immediately thought of roast wild pig.
