I was not even aware Pop's was still a thing...
I used to shoot there a LONG time ago. Back when Nick Ward was still around. I had heard things got a little silly out there, and that Sharon stopped letting people shoot there. (a long time ago) But I live quite a distance away, so I'm sure I am probably not up to date. Actually haven't checked in on Florida Shooter's Network in a very long time, either. (Matter of fact...I drifted away from THIS site as well, but started checking in lately.... Been a member since 2001) |

No mention of Sharon on fsn in quite a long time, shame things were so dicey out there as it had potential to be a fun spot to shoot.

I used to setup FSN and ARF shoots years ago. I don't know anyone that has been there in years.

Last I was there was many moons ago, when we were all pitching in to put up a gate that everyone was supposedly going to have a key for... I never saw the completion of the gate (if it ever DID get built), I just kind of stopped going because I live about 2 hours away.
I seem to remember hearing there was some drama brewing up between different members of the group that used to shoot there. A couple pics I have from my days at Pop's Full auto M16 that belonged to Nick Ward.  That Nextel should be an indicator of how long ago this was...LoL

So I was driving by Pop's place on US27 today and noticed a for sale sign on the property. Has a PA's name on the sign. Hmm.

Wow. Pops is a blast from the past. Is Sharon still around?
I'm in St. Augustine now but my parents are still in WPB and my dad is a shooter and member here. I'm sure he'd go to a local shoot. |
