Now all you need are a couple of electric motors on that bad boy and a remote control then you can save yourself the trouble of pushing it. Make it push itself.

That should be pretty easy to setup. Just get a power wheels jeep off craigslist to harvest parts. You don't need any fancy electronics if you use a wired remote.

Depends on the materials used and how well you maintain it. The power wheels jeeps I have tore apart were mostly plastic with stainless steel hardware. If you don't drive it into the water, it should last a few years.
