I can’t sink any more money into this thing! It is sweet and a sickness for sure. I’ve only had it about 2 months and it’s definitely a lot of fun.

At least the newer Surefire LED forend lights were actually carried on some of the UK police issued MP5s so I do not feel too bad about swapping it out once it arrives. Malkoff is nice too. |

It’s the battlesteel T1 mount that botach sells. It’s actually an excellent mount and inexpensive. I like the newer ones even better as they skeletonize the other side and don’t add their huge white branding all over it. I ended up having mine blasted and Cerakoted to get it off. I highly recommend them. |

I just picked this up a few hours ago. First roller gun, looking forward to hitting the range Friday.
I did tear it down and clean and lube it. Anything else I should be looking for break-in? Definitely swaying toward the ACR stock and an eform. Attached File Attached File |

Spent casing didn't quite make it out of the ejection port. Since then, I can't recall a single malfunction over something like 2-3k rounds and it kicks spent brass into the next county. Keep the carrier, locking piece, etc reasonably wet and these guns will run and run. Highly reliable weapon - and yes SBR it. |

It looks really nice. Thanks. |

It’s the Gearhead Works Brace. I believe the folder mechanism is made by Choate and is actually an OEM part for some HK MP5’s. It’s a solid brace. I’m pretty happy with the setup.

I like the Magpul lower. It is definitely an improvement over the lower that came on the AP5. I can’t get over the non traditional look though. There is a very good chance that I will go with a Navy style SEF lower.
The claw mount is an MFI ultra low Profile Mount. I originally had the 507c on an ADM QD mount but the lever hit the side of the claw mount and wouldn’t lock. I do like the current setup because you can use the iron sights through the scalarworks mount. |

I had an extra brake so that is what got used; everything else was the flash hider. Now as a brake, it makes you unpopular on the line if you don't have the can on (in addition to flinging brass straight down the line). But it works pretty well although with the #17LP on there I've got that working as well. Between the can, the #17, and the heavy buffer the 91 is more an authoritative thump/push when fired, and just fun to shoot. Even without the can. My MP5 and MP5K clones are absolute blasts to shoot. With subs and the can you can't help but smile. Re: shorties, I keep them mainly for my K gun because it seems to do well getting into or out of a vehicle but that's about it. It also makes mag changes a little easier with the broom handle grip but on a full size gun? Meh. But I guess that's what they have to use at least in some part. |
