What parts need the most attention in this type of rifle?

Is there something about the design that would require checking the headspace often (and how often)?

What spare parts do you recommend having on hand?

Thanks guys...

The parts that are good to have spares of are the bolts guts or spare complete bolt in general. The rear buttstock pins and handguard pins can be easily lost at the wrong place and time when field stripping too so you might put them on the list. The recoil spring will wearout, and then any small parts and screws can and will get lost if there loose or taken out.
The headspace issue has been only something I've heard anyone having a problem with lately and I don't think it's a common one. I wouldn't let it worry you too much. Just keep up on good maintenance and check it every once in a while for your own piece of mind. If you have any concerns than give old JLD a call.
