I'm not sure if I'd pay 2K for an HK-91 with everything being HK.

What you have described is and FMP or Interport receiver, built on a parts kit.

That is not an HK91.

Might be great if the parts kit was in good shape. The receiver was at least in spec when it was stamped. As close to H&K as you can get.

Not worth $2000.00 . If it is in great shape $1000.00 would be a good deal for you. $1200. would be fair.

Then again I went to public school.

I wouldn't pay $2000 for an HK either, not since JLD started making their high quality PTR91 which you can get for starting at around $800, but that depends. Are your looking for a collectors piece or shoot it? If it's collect than cool, but the rifle your talking about isn't really it. If it's shoot, than you would be better off with a new PTR91 and set it up how you'd like with furniture and accessories.

FMP receivers are as close as you can get to HK without being from Germany, but if it were an actual FMP produced rifle, I don't believe any of the parts would be HK.  So, like others have said, it sounds like a kit build.  Who knows?  The only reason to buy a kit build is if its really cheap and/or if you know who built it.
