Tapco has them 50/$50 plus shipping. Says excellent condition. I don't even have a G3 or a Cetme but bought a pack anyways.

It's not sick. I may someday have a rifle they'll fit, and then I would kick myself for not grabbing the bargain. |
[Foghorn Leghorn] that's a.. I say, that's a joke son.... [/Foghorn Leghorn]
you musta missed the "I'm just as bad, maybe worse" part. |
I know. That's my justification to my wife though, think it will work? |
I just placed my order. I'm officially a mag whore. Now I'll have 71.
I have had some problems with the aluminum ones having dents and not working. The steel mags are far better, however for a $ 1 a piece I guess you could just throw the bad ones out.
Very tempting...I was on my way to the show to pick some more up anyway.
I printed out that TAPCO ad to perhaps negotiate with a vendor at the gunshow...if not I will order my 50. Which would probably outlast my CETME, but also considering M14 mags were that price at one time...for just one. |
How about folks posting pics of what they get? I can post mine, and I only live about 50 minutes away, so if they ship Monday, I should have them within a day or two.
If they're excellent as described, I'm expecting no dents, maybe only finish wear. I got 10 from RobertRTG for $30 and they were new out of wrap. I'll be able to put them back up and just use these for range mags. [ETA]Crap- I just looked and they have steel ones with slight rust for the same price 50 for $50. I figure they'd clean up easily as long as they aren't pitted. I might have to change my order. |
I placed an order for a 2x 5 packs on new in the box mags 2 weeks ago from Tapco......I have not seen them yet..........seems like shiping is not very fast........
this is what I ordered http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/parts.cgi?read=153635 I already have 30+ of used mags.
Order away...I placed an order yesterday and don't have a HK91 either. For a buck a mag how can you go wrong. Free ship over $200. This will bring my HK91/G3 mag total up near 150. It's call cost averaging.
50 Excellent HK mags, 10 new AR D&H mags, & 3 new Glock 19 mags = $200. Not a bad deal in my book. Some some day I'll run across a deal on a 91, I still kick my self for not buying the one I had in my hand for about $700 in 88-89. I left w/ a P7M13 instead for ~1k IIRC. FB |
I like the aluminum mags because they dont rust. The steel mags do seem sturdier though. Hell, at that price throw them away if they stop functioning. Very interested in the reports of the condition of these mags. I need more G3 mags like a hole in the head. I must have well over 100
Thanks for the heads up.
I ordered 100. If half are not useable, then I'm still in for $2 per mag. Hard to go wrong.... Last time one of these huge mag deals was going on was the SG thing- they said the mags were in fair condition or something like that- all of mine were essentially new. |
I've still got another 80 coming sometime in Jan/Feb from that deal! That will be 100+ AK mags. |
If I already didn't have cases of G3 mags I would buy some. Now I just need to stop buying mags and build the G3 kit I have.
I put in order for 50 HK Mags and 2 Glock 15 round mags. Kinda cool that you can get 50 used/rusted mags for 50 bucks and two plastic Glock mags cost 30.
I am planning on using these mags to learn how to Duracoat, or refinish guns. I am not very skilled in that department. |
FYI they also have slightly rusted steel mags 50 for $50 Here
where did all these mags suddenly appear from?
6 months bought 10 at my local gun store for $7 3 months ago 25 of em $2 each from tapco now another 50 from tapco for $1 each and i just got my PTR-91 last week now if I could just get HK93 mags and UZI for this price |
What I am wondering, is what did they pay for them if they can sell the mags at $1 each for a profit???
Don't knowTAPCO is going to make a profit or not...
If they are blowing them out they either bought several containers full for scrap value or they need to dump some inventory and raise some $$$ for bills or Christmas Hams or some such thing late in the year. But I am now 100 Real Authentic G-3 Mags VERY much happier!!! If I could just get Real M-14 mags at something close to this price. THANKS for the tip on this Super Deal!! I was getting ready to order from Interordinace at three times the price $2.95 per mag!!!!! BIGGER_HAMMER |
I ordered a quanity of these some time ago.
Most are as new. The worst one of the group had rub wear from storage. No dents, no rust, nothing. I was blown away on how nice they were. Order now or cry later. |
I was saying the same thing to a friend of mine...50 HK mags + 10 Ar mags + 3 Glock mags = $200 so free shipping. Got a Tracking # from UPS and the package weighs like 23 Lbs. Can't be cheap to ship a package like that, must be ~ $15-$20 for shipping. FB |
I got my 50 today. I did a quick check through the box, looking at 20-30. They were all basically new with storage marks. None of the ones I looked at show sign of having been inserted. I saw two with light scratches, likely from the mags next to them.
I'm certainly satisifed. for that price, they're practically disposable. |
I ordered mine Fri morning and the order status says still being packaged.
Call them. I live close, so shipping only took a day, but maybe there is some glitch that needs a little kick to get things moving.
Mine too . . . . . . . Ordered mine on the 10th. EDIT: Called them just now and the lady said they had just shipped out today via UPS! (Phheeeeewwwwwww . . . . . . . . got a little worried there) |
Do you guys think that 300+ G3 mags will be enough, or do I need a couple more?
I am confused. What is this "enough" you speak of? I am not familiar with that term. |
Mine just shipped as well. Have to wait a week before they get here though.
I guess that doesn't really matter though as I have nothing to put them in except ziplocks. |
I wonder if galvanizing the steel ones would work.
I would buy 100 rusted metal ones, drop them into the old trusty Dillon tumbler. Then, take them over to the local galvanizing shop and have them dip them for like 10 bucks? |
Mine should be here tomorrow. I gave up my H&K rifles years ago, just nice to have the mags for trade.
I really didn't need the entire 50 mag pack but I ordered a pack today anyway. I already have
over 75 mags for my HK and CETME. My thinking is I'll keep 25 of the mags so I have an even 100 and sell the other 25 on the EE. Someone should want them at a buck apiece plus shipping. I just wish I had gotten a deal like this before. I've paid over $35 a piece during the ban for new HK mags! |
Thats really odd, all the mags going around are all pre-ban and date stamped, was there none for sale last year? |
I would assume they recently were able to discover the stockpile and import all these mags. I have a friend who has an importing business (not gun or gun related but collectibles) and he is constantly amazed at the amount of stuff that materializes. Even from sources that he constantly buys from-they will have nothing one month and then the next month will literally flood him with inventory. I'm sure the international gun surplus market is similair. |

my 50 alloy just arrived. with just a quick look i'm seeing all new mags with dates from 62 to the mid 80's. all marked G3/HK. mmk
My 50 arrived yesterday and I agree that most seem to be unused. Almost all have no marks at all to indicate that they had ever been inserted in a mag well. Most are HK dated from 60's thru 80's. So far I've also found Portugese, Danish, and Rheinmetal mags. All are much better than the ones I bought last summer from Cheaper Than Dirt for $1.97 each.
any interest in trading off some danes? |
Thanks guys for the updates on the Tapco mags, maybe I need more than 100 G3 Mags
Anyone who bought these after I posted this should send me one each.
Postage will cost more than the mag!!! |
These will fit and function in A Cetme sporter in .308 right? I think I saw it twice in the thread however I must confirm please?
I must be some kind of idiot. I just got order confirmation on my 2nd 50.
What am I going to do? Guess I have to buy another 91 or JLD. Mag-driven gun purchasing................... Sam |
these are some sweet mags all HK date stamped 15 NIW most never seen a gun
I got a box of 50 aluminum mags, and a box of 50 steel mags-slightly rusty.
The aluminum mag's appear NEW, with a quick look thru. The steel mag's are slightly rusty......Anyone have any good ideas on how to clean these up?? Thanks |
I wonder where they are coming from? I got my 40 NIw at $4/each. $4 less than Roberts Kinda feel like I got ripped now
I would say... bead blast and either DuraCoat or GunKote |
i have place 2 orders and both took a day or two before they were shipped. |
Brandyspaw, I'll take the other 25 mags. IM sent. Did you get steel or aluminum? CMS |
