If i were a guru I would post pics too!!
But since I'm not a guru; anybody else ??! I think FALs in action would be a great photo thread. |
These were the first pictures I have posted. I used Tinypic hosting. Took me a few trys before I got anything posted. Not very good at posting pictures.

That horse would be deaf with the barrel that close to his ear.
Odd... no packs, look to be in good shape, and exhausted. Maybe because the FAL is soooo damn heavy? TRG |
the rider had better hope that horse is stone deaf BEFORE he fires!
good pics! anyone got some good reading recommendations on the Rhodesian war? i have ahe Selous Scouts history on my list to read. |
Most, if not all of those pictures are from the Rhodesians at War site.
RaW If you want to know about the Scouts...go here....PAMWE CHETE! RIP Uncle Chalmers....Rhodesia Was Super. |
They wear the shorts because it is most likely bloody hot where they are at. I think shorts were standard fare for the Brits. Take a look at some of the WW2 north Africa photos of the Brits in action. Not sure if they are still allowed or not.
Those are Rhodesians, not Brits... and they are most likely Selous Scouts. |
Because Rhodesia was founded by an Englishman. We export McDonalds; the Brits export those snappy shorts. Sweet pics - makes me want an FAL |
The guy on the horse is with Grey's Scouts...a kickass bunch!
And for sure, the Selous Scouts as well! "Pamwe Chete" indeed! May God Bless them one and all! |

Damn your right. Site where I found that pic labeled it as FAL. Thanks for the correction.
No problem. |

Cool pic tho... Never mind thedoctors308 caught it first. |

THE site for those who may be interested in the Rhodesian war experience and, especially the Selous Scouts...these guys were "the real deal"
