If it's "metric pattern" should be 9/16-24LH...

don't mean to highjack the thread, but...

Anyone know if the MIA barrels have the same threads?  I would like to put a Vortex on a FAL, but I know the Rem 700 model won't fit.  They don't specify threads for the MIA FS.

Negatory...

M14's are unique in mounting the FS'er. Splines locate and index it while a castle nut retains it. BBL threads are 19/32-32RH. The FS'er has no threads to secure it to the BBL.
