What is the deal with the price of a FN FNC lately? For the longest time they were 1,300 then a few years ago they spiked up to 2,300 and now I see them selling for 3,500 to 5,000. Did I miss the boat here, why is there such a jump in price in the past few weeks. I know there are auto sears for FNC, but the demand for FNC's seems to be sky high.

Don't know the entire story but I recall reading about some registered parts (sears-?) coming onto the market from a private party. Using these parts you can legally make a select fire FAL and the FNC is supposed to be the best to do this conversion on.

I'm sure someone else knows more about this.

There were a few posts about it on the FALFiles a while back.
