Nice work.  I just started cleaning up my CMP rifle M1 and 1903A3 and these things are addicting.  How hard was it to put together?

You can buy a replacement receiver from CMP, USGI, various conditions and various manufacturers.  IIRC from 150-250 bucks depending on brand and condition.  

I'm sure if you got your CAI working than it's not a big  issue, but to me it's a no brainer to go with the original.  

Anyways nice job!  I'd like to put one together someday. I got my 1st M1 on the way and just got my 1903 already from CMP.
