I just purchased a Springfield M1A today. I plan on mounting a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15-50 scope. Whats the best scope mount out there and any other goodies I can get to trick my new toy out.

Since I haven't got mine yet, I'll just repeat the same answers that were given me when I asked the question... Smith Enterprizes picatinny mount is the best mount out there. It's $275 for the regular mount.

I had good luck with an ARMS #18...

I'm not an optics guru.  Will he have enough clearance for a 50 mm objective lens with an ARMS #18 mount?  Extra high rings?

There is a FAQ page at fultonarmory.com that tells you how to measure what height rings to use. This is using the arms #18 mount and the arms #22 rings.
