How can you tell the difference between a plastic forearm and a fiberglass forearm?

I am having problems with my plastic forearm melting during rapid fire...

What can I do to fix this (Other than peeing on my gun)...

From all the HG's (both USGI Fiberglass/FA ABS) it has been that the FA ABS are just palin brown or black an no silver high Heat Paint inside. USGI HG's are alway Silver inside to reflect heat.

I don't know if painting the inside is going to help with a plastic HG at what ever rate of fire you are sustaining.

My rate of fire is usally 1 shot every 1-2 seconds for two magazines.

After two magazines the gun is pretty hot.

After three magazines the handguard is smoking/burning/melting...

You need to get a USGI hand guard
