Slowly saving up for my first SBR, but I was wondering which you guys would recommend. I've heard nothing but great stuff about Noveske, but several guys at my local gun range recently told me to look into Knights as they're apparently a better deal if I'm buying a complete rifle?

Is there any noticeable difference between 10.5" and 11.5"? Seems weird to me that many companies only go down to 11.5" or 12" barrel length. I think I'll eventually suppress my gun which seems to indicate a Noveske with a switchblock is a better fit, but I honestly don't even know much about Knights.
Thoughts?

They are both great guns.  However, I would go 11.5 for the increased reliability.

I wanted a 11.5" SBR but at the time Noveske didn't offer that barrel length.  Instead I bought the 12.5" and had ADCO cut it down.  I know it was only an inch difference but the gun balances so much better and it eats everything from 55gr Tula to 75gr Hornady without so much as a hiccup.

Have and love weapons from both. You really can't go wrong.

I prefer the 11.5".

I don't understand why socom would use 10.3 inch mk18's if 11.5's are that much better?

Can someone explain this?

Why BCM chose 11.5" SBR over the 10.5"

10.3" works just fine. I simply think KAC makes better gear, if its the only other option.

"that much better"?  I'm not sure about that, the mk18 and 416 are serving the role they were designed for as good if not better than a 11.5" gun, especially when suppressed and shooting brown tip.

10.3 was the shortest they could cut down a M4A1 and still attach the KAC suppressor. it's supposed to be small, a submachine gun sized rifle for CQB situations.
