Im kinda lost in the sauce here. I just purchased a Stribog and realized this is an up close and personal weapon. Somewhere around 14'-35' seems ideal even if the weapon can go further. Reach was never this firearms intended use. Please check my fire.

My PPC in 9mm will put a damn big hole in you are 75 feet. I zeroed it at 15 yards and then tested it at 25 yards and had to move around the target to see where I was hitting. Sig Romeo 5 on top of it.

For your Striborg, a 5 yd. zero (14' +) will put you about 27" high at 85 yards with an RDS. (Hornady 115.gr. FTX used for example)
A 50 yd. zero will give about a 2-1/2" total ballistic arch out to 85 yds.

Go here and play with the numbers.

A Striborg is not a carbine (PCC). The ones I see in Google have an 8" barrel.

I like 22 yards for a 2.8" high red dot.

I prefer farther out (like 25 yards) for pistols and PCC. that way you know you're always just a bit low. Much easier than being spot on at 10 feet and then like 2 feet high at 25 yards.

I also prefer a 200 yard AR zero for the same reasons, I'm always hitting low.

And decide what ammo you'll be using so you can plug into the calculator.

Playing with the ballistics tool I think I may switch to 30 yards. I like the flatter trajectory out to 80 yards.

30 yard zero 9mm ball ammo

25 yards.  That should give you 2” low at 15, 2” high at 50, back to zero at 75, 2” low at 100.

I shoot my carbine a lot at my home range which is 10-50 yards, mostly I shoot off hand at 40 yards so I zero there.

The chart using 147 gn shows me -3 at muzzle, zero at 30 and 40, -3 at 70.

At 30 yards a typical 9mm will have lost about 10-15% of its energy, and dropped about 0.2 inches.

Thats is what I do.

All great info. Thank you very much. I will experiment with the 25yd & 30yd zero and see which works best for me.

Also for clarification, the Stribog is a braced pistol not a PCC or a PDW?

10 yards. Try it

This is kinda where I am at with things. I feel my focus should be on maintaining an engagement distance no farther than 60' with ideal zero being at around 10 yards.
I did zero my weapon and kept rethinking the minutiae. My zero is tight for now but I only had 50 feet to work with but 10 yards worked.

My frame of thought came down to small window targets 6"x6" at varying distances at or under 60 feet under pressure.
A contributing factor for me is a reticle having 32MOA Circle 2 MOA dot for holdover a close distances to make things more distinguishing.

The Stribog is a sweet shooter. I had similar results while zeroing and in slow fire but I was left grinning while in rapid fire. My group opened up a bit but maintained a softball size cluster from 21'-35' with fliers staying on my 8x11 printed cardstock.

Once I confirm holds and dial in a little more I may not want to play with anything else.

10 yards will keep the trajectory fairly flat out to 25 or so. I think you'll be good.

My 9 mm PCC (Ruger carbine with the M Loc hand guard) is just a fun gun to shoot, so it is zeroed at 50' with a Burris Fast Fire III.  If I need or want to reach out further, I have other guns for that!

This. Out to about 120 yards everything will be +/-2" plus or minus. Don't have to worry about hold overs.
