I have an opportunity to purchase an NIB factory MCX SBR in 5.56 for $1000... Fo or no fo?

The form 4 sucks, but I bought a legacy 16" MCX after buying a pistol 11.5 Virtus and form 1'ing it. Form 1'd the legacy and dropped a 6.75" 300blk virtus bbl & bolt into it. Love it.

And I only bought it b/c it was $1,300 with an rx30 sitting on it that I sold off

Legacy is lighter... and will still take Virtus bolts and barrels.

I bought a Hybrid which is legacy on an AR15 lower, moved the MCX parts over to an AR lower I had already SBR'd, liked it a lot. Got the 6" ish 300 BO virtus barrel and bolt.
