A buddy has wanted a 44mag pistol for a while now and I've been saving components, when I came across them. I've plenty of mix HS brass and several hundred 240gr JHP (Hornady #4420). I don't have an older Hornady book and I don't see data for these in the one I do have. I've checked the myriad of books I do have and see a bit of conflicting data for those that list 240gr JHP's.
I have:
44MAg Brass
240gr JHP's (Hornady #4420)
Large Pistol Primers (several brands)
Large Pistol Mag Primers (CCI 350)
Powders I have that seem to be pertinent:
H4227
IMR-4227
2400
TiteGroup
Red Dot
Universal
Does anyone use a load w/ Red Dot? I ask as I have about 25-30lbs of it.

Red dot could be used for light loads, and would be a waste with jacketed bullets. Get some cast or plated for the light loads.
I like Trailboss for light 44 mag loads.
If I'm making full loads in 44 Mag, then I use H-110 and either a jacketed or my home cast powder coated bullets.
For data with you 240 gr JHP's just use the start load for any 240 gr bullet and work up.
This technique works well as you rarely find data for the exact components you have on hand.
