W296 is one of the regular players for lighter weight supersonics.

I use it with Hornady 125 gr SST in my 8.5" pistol.

I'm using 17.2 gr. with COAL of 2.100". YMMV.

300blktalk forums have much more data for this powder with multiple bullet choices.

Good luck.

Winchester 296 is Hodgdon 110 with a different label on it.

There are plenty of people who will tell you that isn't so, but it has been confirmed in
writing, by Hodgdon (who markets both) many times.  If there is a difference found
it is lot to lot differences that people are seeing.

And it works fine for lighter bullets in 300Blk.  I've used it for bullets up to 150grns.
Check the link at the Hodgdon reloading data center, and work up loads with caution
as always.

W296 is a great powder for 300 BO.  If thats what you can get, get it, and your good to go.  I use it under Hornady 110 Vmax, 125 SSTs and 150 FMJBTs.
