Just seat it out as far as you can, without affecting the feeding from the magazine, and have at it. This is one of my favorite bullets for deer in the '06.

165 grain? As long as possible while still maintaining neck tension.

I have their manual #6 and it just lists the generic 3.340" OAL in the specs for 30-06 as far as OAL.
