I have a tops hazen legion that I use, but wanted another lightweight knife with 4-6" blade I could deploy fast and could be used in forward and reverse grips. That blade you posted looks interesting. |

If I were buying a Balisong to stand up to actual use it would probably be a 29 Knives custom from Chris Olofson. They are heavy duty.

I had a titanium bench made something, maybe 42? With months of practice
It was still slower than even a non-tactical folder. Autos and assisted opening beat it by a lot and fixed blades even more so |

Is there some sort of reason that you want to rely on one of the most complicated and difficult deployment mechanism for a self defense knife?
