I was poking around the EE last night a saw a Becker knife.  I've never heard of them and that are way closer to affordable for me than a Strider DB.  Are they a good quality knife?

Some people will tell you they are one of your best bang for your buck knives.

I don't have one, but i plan on getting one soon.

Go over to bladeforums and read through their forum.  Or check them out on knifetest.  Ither way it's a quality product at a decent price from what i can tell.

I don't think they have a knife in their line that is over like $60.

Also they are manufactured by Ka-bar

My son and I both have one and that are very sturdy knives that are reasonably priced.  Ours were made several years ago by Camilus (SP) not Ka-Bar but I assume that they are very similar.

The Becker is a fine blade.

I don't have one myself but they handle well and others I've known have heavily abused them downrange and they worked.

I roll with a Grayman Suenami made for me, but the Becker is a bombproof blade for the buck, as is the RAT series.
