I recently acquired an FN Five-Seven and am looking for advice on ammunition. I'm looking for some range type ammo and a defensive round. Currently I have a couple boxes of the SS197SR sporting rounds.

SS197 is great practice/Malfunction Drill ammo.

For serious use, either SS198 or Elite Ammunition.

I like SS198 for the odd chance I’m carrying nun FSN.

As others have stated, ss198 for defensive.

Midwest Gun Works frequently is hard to beat for 5.7x28 and they have SS198LF in stock: https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/10700022

I've bought from them multiple times and have always been satisfied.

Good price. I bought some from CDNN a couple years back, and I paid $299 per 500 box.
