Come on, show and tell time!
There's a thread for the pistols, time for the rifles. I know that there are more like me who have just started thinking about getting into the suppressor thing and would love to see other peoples' rigs. Thanks. |

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you’re capable of great violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful, you’re harmless.

View Quote What muzzle device you running on that and how long has it been attached? I've read that you can shoot the can off but I don't know if I could bring myself to do that. I'd be afraid it would damage the can. |

View Quote Shooting the can off isn't really a thing in this situation. Once the taper is on, it's not typically going to back itself off. It's not supposed to, you want them to stay put. Shooting off the suppressor is more of a tactic with gate-style locks that dont use threading. Unlock the gate, and the can pulls stright off the front. Unlock the gate and send a round, the gas pressure pushes the can right off the front. It's a nice featue to to have in a pinch, honestly. I would have never gotten this suppressor off in the field. Even my strap wrench failed on it before I decided to use the rifle itself as the leverage for turning the suppressor off. Looking for thread mounted cans that have wrench flats built into the body somehwere is a good idea, IMO, to help negate this. |
