Can/Would anyone care to describe the functionality differences in these and how the light buffer and spring function in the pistol with a short buffer tube as compared to the rifle/carbine buffer system.
Basically, how does the short buffer pistol function without destroying the carrier/buffer, when a too-short tube, or overlong screw in a rifle can negatively affect function.
Am I making this over complicated?
I have a Patriot pistol which sheared one of the screws on the carrier key, and I'd really like to understand how this can happen.
Thanks
