The only way to really know is to fire your ammo in your gun through a chronograph.  Especially if you are concerned about long range shooting.  

Your gun's action type, bolt action, semi-auto etc., chamber size and ammunition lot and even temperature all affect muzzle velocity.  All anyone else can give you is an idea of what it does in their gun.  

Typical .308 150 grain FMJ ammo is in the 2700 t0 2900 Feet per second range.
