I assume you mean 50 BMG. I've got a real nice 50AE upper for sale, though.

I looked into this thoroughly for several months. I first looked at the Watson upper but finally decided it made more sense for me to spend an extra few hundred dollars and purchase a complete rifle. I chose the State Arms Shorty for $1800 and it is AWESOME. The most fun I have ever has shooting.
The Watsons upper is actually manufactured by D&JHT. You can purchase it directly from them for $995 by going to www.ar-bmg.com. This is several hundred dollars cheaper than the Watson.

Are these 50BMG uppers with standard AR15 lowers reliable/safe? Any chance the buffer will come out the end of the buttstock?

Marvl ,no chance because it is removed from gun .and the upper are shell holder or bolt type recievers.
