Must have been something I asked ??
At any rate this thread has gotten a good many reads and not much info is here.

ArmaLite designed the AR-10 back in the 1950's but licensed production to a company in Belgium, Artillerie-Inrichtingen (AI).
AI probably manufactured about 6000 AR-10's primarily for two countries - Sudan and Portugal.
Back in the late 1970's early '80's these rifles began to be phased out and a couple of importers began to bring uppers back into the U.S.. Some had the receivers burned in half while others were kits made-up primarily of uppers.
Americans being the entrepreneurs that we are starting buying these upper kits and manufacturing semi-auto receivers. There was a guy named John McGlothlin up in Ohio that started the semi manufacturing business, Speciality Arms and bought receivers manufactured by a company called 'TELCO' - also in Ohio. Several other manufacturers bought AR-10 upper kits and manufactured semi-auto lowers - Central Kentucky Arms, Ky., H&H Enterprises, Cal., and Sendra, Il., were the primary players.
Anyway, that's why I asked the thread poster which lower he had.
These semi-auto rifles are pretty collectable and bring somewhere around $2500-$2800 for a good one. The one I own has a TELCO lower and is labeled "XM-10".
(This is the very short version with lots of room for omissions - and, of course, always room for errors.)
