Without the controlled round feed, it will not drive the collectors and other Model 70 zealots wild.
Still a good rifle though, and 270 WSM is an excellent caliber. It has moderate recoil and a very flat trajectory. Here is an elk that I shot with a Model 70 in 270 WSM at 420 yards last year:  In fact, an Arizona elk. Thanks again, US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
