I was looking through my owners manual and had an idea. I can buy new mags at a gun shop for the 22/45 for $18 give or take a little. I can order a complete mag assembly for $13.90 straight from ruger. Or I can order all the replacement parts for a mag and assemble it myself $8.75 according to the parts list in my owners manual. Anyone else try doing this?

magazine shell $6.25
follower $0.50
follower button $0.50
spring $0.50
block retaining plunger $0.50
block $0.50

total = $8.75

Price would be the same for a markII mag. I wonder what they charge for shipping....
