What is the going price on a slightly used Springfield M1A standard model..say with no mags?

$1000 at most, since you can find new one for less.  It reaaly depends on the components the rifle is made from.  I would pay more for a M1A with 500 rounds and USGI parts than a M1A with 100 rounds and very few USGI parts.

I picked up a NIB Loaded Model (built in 1998) for $1100 shipped.  Still had the tags attached to the trigger guard and unfilled waranty card.

There are some really good deals out there.  Just be patient.
