I dont know...how many licks does it take to get the center of a tootsie pop?

Just kidding...I usually have enough for nine 30 round mags full...none less none more. None more because I cant seem to stop shooting the darn things. lol

Bullets are dangerous, so I don't have any around.  My AR is an expensive club.  I rely on the police to protect me.

Probably enough to build a large Anti-Gun sculpture for the front of the UN.

I try to keep a safety stock of at least 1500 rounds and a shooting stock of about the same.  You just never know.....

I normally try to keep 5,000 to 10,000 rounds on hand. Although I just received a shipment of 5,000 so I probably have about 12,000.

Loaded 30 rounders? About a dozen.

I DON'T rely on the police to protect me - I'm in rural America, they are too far away.

I have more than a few thousand rounds of .223, a bit more than a thousand of .308, several hundred of .30-06, and about 500 rounds in .38, 9mm, .357, 12 gauge, and .45.

Let's put it this way, if the out building my ammunition is stored in catches fire, my house 300 yrds away ain't going to be safe. One of the benefits of living in the middle of nowhere.

For a primary weapon like my AR15, I think a thousand rounds is a good safe number, I have about 1500 on hand but 500 are set for the range next week. I keep a thousand for my sidearm as well, and always have ten 30 round AR mags and 5 pistol mags laoded for any emergency and the rest of my 5.56mm is in bandoleers on strippers ready to go. Yes this is probably more than I would ever need, but when it comes to the protection of my family, nothing but the best will do.

Imbro? Is that you?

I have about 400 rounds on stripper clips in bandoleers currently, 400 rounds of Wolf, and 4 loaded 30's.

I am way under supplied.
