What's the difference?  Which one should I get with a J&T 16" Expedition kit for a Postban RRA lower?

The M4 stock is stronger, has more options for sling use, has less rattle, and weighs a touch more.  They typically have more positions they can adjust to (nothing that the CAR couldn't do with a drill and a few minutes).

Personally I like the M4 version much better.

The M4 version also has a longer "foot"/"heel" it feels better when you shoot. I have both but favor the M4 type.

I didn't know RRA made preban lowers?

My mistake, I meant post ban.

I've got a carbine configured with each of those stocks. I prefer the longer M4 (I'm 6'4" tall), so I stuck one of the little rubber buttpads on the CAR style to get the extra length.
