i  came into possession of several very nice huntng rifles recently,..on of them is a remington model 4 semi-auto in 30.06.. the gun has VERY nice wood.. i actually think the gun was a custom build ..sitting next to a 7400 there is no comparison in the finish of the 2 guns... i have had no luck finding any info about it any and all info greatly appreciated.. the gun is a deep black .. the wood is very heavily grained on the bottum of the receiver just before the forearm the bottom of a 30.06 case has been set into the receiver i guess to show the caliber..but it is written on the barrel... the gun has a leupold varix 3 scope
