as long as the new stock is correctly installed you should be all right. I never noticed the spring on mine as being excessive but then again I had earplugs on.

Probably because it is a shorter buffer tube you notice it more. So yes it is normal...after all spring expand and contract.

I noticed the spring noise and it sounded like an old screen door opening and closing. What I did was I COVERED the spring and buffer tube with gun grease and the noise has stopped. Jay

I was considering the grease option... but was worried that it would cause a problem. Would white lithium grease work? --LS |
