Remington 700 VS in .223 cut down from 26” to 20” with non-slotted Gemtech bi-lock installed. Total length is about 22”. Scope is Leupold 4.5-14x50 Tactical with ARMS #22 rings.
I guess once you pay the tax on the can once, you can use it on anything. its not like the can is "registered" to any particular firearm, right????

Right.
I can put on: - M16 - AR15 - HK33 - Aug - bolt-gun - ...(anything Gemtech makes a bi-lock for)

On your AR-15, how well does the bi-lock work as a flash suppressor when you don't have the can attached?
TIA!

Same as an A2 flash-hider.
The AR15/M16 uses the slotted bi-lock. Non-slotted version on a bolt-gun.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've got a Phantom on my 11.5" SBR, which, being that short, needs all the help it can get. I've been thinking about getting a suppressor, and was wondering about flash without it.

drfcolt,
How loud is an AR-15 with the Gemtech on it? I assume barrel lenght makes a difference, too?
Thanks.

Have you had experience with other suppressors?

Sounds about like a 22LR with FEDERAL 55gr FMJBT.

Yes, I have a Gemtech Talon-SD 9MM suppressed upper and Gemtech Hornet 22LR suppressor on my M16/22, also M4-96D fits my M4 Commando:

aa777888-2, Doc Dater won't warantee his M4/96D cans for 11-1/2" barrels.
From what I understand there is some problem with the 62gr BTFMJ stabilizing in the can with the extremely violent blast of the 11-1/2" barrel. IIRC, there is also a problem with subsonic rounds.
He did not mention any problems with 55gr FBJHP bullets.

Bein a class 3 dealer and manufacturer I have a lot of silencers in stock. For the M16 seriers I have quite a few cans. The ones I demo the most are the Gemtech M96D and Reeds QDM4. Both are quite efficient and do not blow much crap back out the breech post. Muzzle report with both are negligable, sonic crack of course still exists. I have a couple of Vietman era Sionics type suppressors and they work quite well also but they are about 12" in length. Nice old period pieces and interesting technology.
Daters (Gemtech) Talon 9MM suppressed upper on my RO635 is also great fun.
