I picked up a Savage 110fp in .308 the first year they made them, and I'm planning on buying an aftermarket stock for it. Is this model built on a long or short action? I'm guessing it's a short action, but I don't want to end up returning the wrong size rifle stock.

It is a long action. Savage didn't start making a short action 'till a couple of years ago. If it had a short action it would be a model 10 instead of 110. Hope this helps.
