Just received my UL BNVD's from JRH Enterprises and man are these things slick. I'm coming from dual 14's so this unit was night and day difference on the weight. Went with L3 WP tubes. FOM on the tubes are 2606 and 2628. Would like to really thank Robert Henry for answering all my questions and the quick communication. Couldn't be happier. Pic heavy.

There is like $15K in one picture alone. Sweet Lord that is a sweet setup(s) you got there good sir.

Awesome setup. JRH Enterprise is definitely one of the best places to buy from, great service, excellent products and some of the lowest prices I've seen.

Wow, didn’t realize the ULs were that light. That’s almost the same weight as Anvis 9s. Robert is top notch ??
Awesome FOM #s and pics! If you’re going to go from duals to binos that’s one hell of a way to do it especially with a 10.8oz savings, lol |
|
Holy hell. That is one incredible setup. Who needs 31s when you can have these?
|

Dude those pics are fucking good. Help us take pics like you. How is this set up?

Hey, is that the old Jungle Stalker cammo? I used to have a whole bunch of that stuff. Even LBE/PALS pouches. Still have some of the pouches I think. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Do either of you guys have any pictures of the cable for the battery pack (where it plugs into the goggle) and the battery pack it's self.

That is one badass setup! You did it right, get what you really want the second time around

I weighed both my regular BNVD's which come in pretty good for weight already, against my Ultralight BNVD's https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/92237/bnvdweight-1100350.jpg Regular BNVD Single Gain setup. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/92237/ULWEIGHT-1100351.jpg Ultralight BNVD Single gain setup. Fairly substantial weight difference. View Quote Wow! Is that with batteries? |

10-4.
IIRC, the lithium AA’s are only .5oz or 14.18 grams. Those UL’s are light AF! I think the only things lighter are Anvis 6/9 and -31’s. The UL fits the void perfect. Anvis = nowhere as tough and -31’s = too boocoo $$ |

Sorry to necropost a little bit, but these photos are beautiful.
Can you compare the UL to the standard PVS-14 optics? I know you don't have a direct comparison of the BNVD-SG and BNVD-SG-UL, but I have been eyeballing the BNVD-SG for quite a while now and saving up. The Ultra Light version is only 3 oz lighter, but costs $700 more. Is there any other benefit to the UL other than the small weight difference? And does anyone know if the lightweight lenses are any less durable than the traditional lenses? It looks like they both accept PVS-14 lens accessories which is great. |
|
Is durability affected? With such an expensive item if the durability isn't there a slight increase in image quality isn't worth it in my opinion. If the durability is the same, image quality is improved, they both accept the same lens accessories, and the weight is lower it is worth saving a little more.

I heard somewhere that the tubes are soldered in place. Any truth to this ?

I own BNVD SG UL's as well as DTNVG's and Anvis 9's. I think the ultralights are about the best nods on the market. I'd take them over 31's personally. I'm not a fan of the fixed diopters on the 31's.

The location of the port for the auxiliary battery pack also doesn't limit articulation like 31s. Plus 10 year warranty from NVD for consumer sales and lower cost. I don't understand why they aren't more popular. I've just been trying to decide between the standard or UL version while I save up. View Quote |
