so this would be good for really really old shotgun SBSs? What was made before 1913 that was NFA-o-riffic?

I have not read it but I doubt it exempts them from NFA laws. Current antiques are not exempt unless given a variance by the ATF. Saw off an 1898 shotgun barrel below 18" without a stamp=PMITAFP.

Theoretically this would include the M1895 and certain early Maxim Machine guns right?

so I take it the OP has incorrectly labeled the thread? Sounds like they won't be exempt from anything relevant. Yeah, I guess with a curio license you could get a not-quite-as-old POS via mail order...but really, what does this have to do with NFA?

It would allow people without a c&r license to buy things made before 1913 without any paper work through the mail. The same way muzzleloaders, and pre 1898 rifles are currently regulated. |

As stated earlier, an antique firearm designation removes any kind of background check requirement. C&R firearms are well beyond 1913 already. |
