When your filling out your travel documents for a year long time frame, what do you put for the date? I dont know when they are going to process this, do I put effective whenever you get it back to me? The date I would _like_ to take my gun out of state?? Im not sure what to put for it.

Thanks

I try and send in the forms 6 weeks in advance with a start date about a week before my planed trip.  For example if I was going to Knob Creek on October 6th I would put the dates as September 30, 2010 - September 29, 2011 and I would have mailed the forms last week (like I did).

Hope that helps...

Just sayin!

That's about what I do as well.  I mailed it 7/24, received it 8/20 and dated it to begin 9/1.

Just furthering the conversation on this form. If the NFA item is in a trust then the "registered owner" on the 5320-20 form should be the trust - correct?
