The win is each one was bought prior to 86, so the guy has less $ in all of them, than what 1 would cost today.

What does c&r have to do with an mg?
I will see on gunbroker an mg an the seller will specify c&r. What does that mean?

In addition to being a registered machinegun, it is also a C&R.  So the rules for both apply equally.

It can be transferred directly to a C&R holder, but you must also pay the $200 tax stamp and file the NFA paperwork.  i.e. you do not need to go through a class III dealer, but that's the only difference.

Since there are no "new" registered MGs being made, eventually all transferable MGs will be C&Rs.

I would love to have just 1 MG, let alone a whole mess of 'em. Fantastic collection!

I should have been born 20+ years earlier, and wealthy.
