Is there a link on the ATF site where a private seller can verify that a buyer has a valid C&R license so that a C&R firearm can be sent without sending to an FFL?

FFL ezcheck on the ATF website does not work for C&R.

The buyer just needs to mail or fax you the copy.

If I were shipping out of state I'd want a copy to cover my ass, even if it were listed somewhere.

Is there a way to confirm the validity of the C&R liscense from the date of the license.
I don't know the time frame for renewal.

Also, can a C&R pistol just be sent via UPS to the C&R licensee?

The expiration date is printed on the license.  The only was to confirm the validity is to call the BATF Licensing Center in Atlanta.  Very few, if any, people or dealers do this.

The legality of shipping a C&R handgun to a C&R licensee depends on state law in the licensee's state.  For instance, in California, it would not be allowed and would have to go through a dealer.
