The original finish is a type of shellac so you may try that to see if it does what you want. |

Either one should carry shellac. It's avaviable in both brush on and spray can. |

Most of the old shellac finishes are not the commonly available white shellac. You need to find a orange or amber shellac.

Amber needs some red added to look original, but it will fill in spots just fine.
