How much does it cost?   iehow much do they charge the C card?

Does it have to be renewed every year or is it good for life?

Are the discounts truly that good?

How many rifles do you need to buy a year to make it worth while?

If I sell a rifle do I need a yellow form or just log it in the book

Thank you

$30 unless it's gone up.

Good for 3 years.

Yes. And if you reload or do work on rifles the discount from places like Brownell's, Midway, Graf & Sons will pay for the license with your first order.

You don't even need to buy firearms to make it worth it. See previous answer.

Any C&R eligable firearm you buy once you have a valid C&R license must be looged into a bound book (whether you actually used the license to buy it or not) and if you "dispose" of the firearm it must be logged out with the name of person you gave/sold/traded it to. That's it.

Thank you

About your first question. The BATFE charges you for the license. Having the license could cost you every penny you make because collecting old firearms can be VERY addictive.

If you are the person that likes to save money do not get a C&R license. For me when I bought my first C&R I saved $30 from what I would have to pay to buy the same at a gun show, plus it was mailed right to my house.

Good God NO!!!

You'll go broke in no time!!!

Seriously, yes, get it. Some places give you a discount on other parts and supplies with the C&R. Very much worth your time and will save money on just cleaning supplies and misc stuff.

I'd add more, but I just got off work and need to go home.

$30.

Good for four years.

It depends on the place you're buying from.  I see 50% savings on some of Brownells items.

One every four years.

You don't use a yellow form.  You are not a dealer.  Just log it.

Thank you

Don't mention it.

Or you could do like I did.  I don't really have any interest in C&R weapons other than
one SKS I bought when I first got licensed, just because I could.

What DID make it nice was all the discounts it opens up to you with Brownells etc.

It paid for itself with my first Brownells order.
