I just got a Cannon breech shotgun in fair condition. It has a 2 3/4 chamber, and was made in 1920 or so, it locks tight and every thing is great about it. I fired it a few times with bird shot. I want to take it hogg hunting too, as a " Oops its still alive!" gun,  will it be good to go? Any one know about these shotguns?

Ok so I am the only one still pumping rounds thru this old singleshot. I just got back from the range and put five slugs thru it. It was fine, and the gun even shot accuratly at 50 yds.. wow not bad for an 80-90 year old shotgun!

You can find out a lot more information on older firearms at the two sites listed below.  Both are excellent sources of info.  People there tend to be attracted to older firearms and are happy to share their knowledge.   Each site has several areas of discussion.  May even get you addicted to some bolt action milsurps in the process.  AR's a fine rifles, but after shooting some of the Mausers, Mosin Nagants, and especially a Garand, they seem kind of weak in the knees.
