I would try to pick one up at a fun show. Thaat way you can hand pick it. Old surplus rifles that come from wholesalers usually leave a lot to be desired.

How about those Winter Czech Mausers? They have one at a local shope, 279.99. Real nice looking, matching numbers, but Eagle is ground off, no import markings. I personaly really want the German Model 98K Carbine, however Russians captures just sound gross..  electro-penciled to-death. Anyone know were to get one of these Czech (Breno?) WWII Mausers online, hopefully for less then 280?

Keep looking for M48s. My local shop has two or three out on display. They vary from excellent to good and they want $100 each for them. Some have sight hoods, rods, etc. missing, but since they are right in front of you you can check. Stocks, metal finish, and I'd imagine bores appear to be in great shape.

I have the czech winter trigger mauser it has a laminated stock is in great condition and I'd be willing to sell it for 220 plus shipping, I'll even throw in a czech bayonette.  The numbers on the rifle match.  The receiver too has the german markings ground off.  I saw this gun at Dunham's, in far worse condition, for 279.  I can email pics if anyone is interested.  If interested email me.
