My 91/30 shoots good groups, but they are all 4-6 inches to the right at 100 and 200 yards.

Guessing how much to hold it over is getting kind of old and makes it hell to get consistant groups.

Should I bother trying to tap the front site over, or just suffer with it? I just don't want to tap it too far or something and then have my groups suffer worse.

Right now, im leaning on just trying to adjust it, I have a whole day with nothing to to tomorrow.

Tap the front sight in the opposite direction you want the group to move.  Take the punch and hammer to the range 'cuz it'll probably take several strikes.

The first few won't move the sight at all, cuz you'll baby it.  The next will move it way too far!  Yeah, I've done this (on a different rifle)!

Takes very little movement.
