Depends on what headset you want to plug into it.  The MSA headset uses a dynamic microphone and requires some components to add a pre-amp to the PTT, or your transmit audio will be very quiet.  It's just a capacitor, a transistor, and a resistor but it adds a bit of difficulty to the wiring.  The Bowman headset in my first pic has a standard electrolet microphone, so it's a very simple direct wiring scheme for the PTT.  Consequently, I also added the corresponding TP-120 plugs to the headsets to mate to the U-94 PTT box.  There is a stickied thread in this sub-forum that goes over that process and the MSA headset.  It also details how you can remove the dynamic mic and replace with an elec. mic to avoid having to add the pre-amp to the PTT if you prefer.

Finally have a first line.  Picked up a Ronin shooter's belt on sale.

On the belt: Costa leg rig ran through the loops on the belt, EGL drop pouch, BFG trauma kit, Half Face Blades crow scout jr (hard to see, bad pic I know), and  BFG boo-boo pouch.
Spiritus chest rig with SACK.  First Spear gloves - so far so good; I have the heavier contact gloves as well.  Can offer feedback if anyone is interested.
Choosing to run the leg rig for wintertime as opposed to belt-mounted mag pouches, so I can still have access with a coat/hoodie on and not have to tuck everything in.

What is the purpose of this loadout, or is it just a gear spread? Some of it looks like scout stuff, some of it duty, etc. Doesn't look military.

Is that Motorola a personal rig? Talk about that comms setup, it looks... interesting.

This is a work loadout designed around low profile anti-terrorism operations in high threat environments- it isn't meant to be invisible, rather it is meant to be just "regular guy" enough that when everything is packed correctly on passing glance most people (who are as a general rule surprisingly unobservant unless you give them a reason to be otherwise) will not give you any extra scrutiny.  The challenge is that it must also be capable of being used for bugging out of an area while simultaneously enabling you of being capable of conducting direct action.

The clothes, Mk18/suppressor, M67 Frag, PVS 14s, and backpack are my own and mimic issued gear. I swap the pack out relatively frequently depending on where I am going, and the clothes are obviously adjusted for the environment as well.  Typically I prefer hiking clothes or jeans if I can reasonably get away with it, but imagine figuring out how to run around NYC with a long gun without getting noticed.  Hiking clothes there don't really fly and will get you attention even if you aren't sneaking around- but the right bag and a suit and you can do it all day.

The radio is issued and encrypted.  Sometimes I may have SINCGARs or netted iridium as well.

A lot of people overestimate what gear they need in some respects, and underestimate in others.  I am not saying that this kit is the best thing out there- it is not.  But operational experience has shown that for short duration operations in highly volatile environments this is more or less a reasonable kit.

Also not displayed are:

M18 smoke grenades, of which I will usually carry anywhere from 1 to 3,

an escape and evasion kit that stays on my person,

an extra tourniquet and combat gauze which stay on my person.

As far as comms stuff goes- I honestly don't know a whole lot about comms beyond what I've been taught to make them work.  That is what comms guys are for...

In all seriousness though, I would like to learn more about radios.  I've been thinking about getting a license so I can get a radio for my personal truck.

Also, check out the TEP-100s if you aren't running integrated comms.

It is a Camelbak Armorbak. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are willing to modify it quite a bit.

The compression straps are the only thing holding it to the carrier. It's great for quick on/off for refilling, but the straps work themselves loose in a very short amount of time. This results in the hydration carrier flopping all over the place and sagging.

I sewed two rows of molle across the top of the Armorbak to prevent this from happening. Now it is semi-permanently attached and have lost the QD function. It works though.

Probably okay on flatrange or sitting. Loadouts like that aren't really meant to be comfortable for any really long period of time. You put them on, get the work done, and get out of them.

Multitool is there- accidently let it in the pouch. It is between the stack of Mk18 magazines and the grenade.

It was fantastic. I haven't written an AAR, but I can.

If you like medical, check out this class. Brass and Blood

By far the best I know of for what it is.

An emerging view of a well-rounded armed individual is that he possesses the ability to press home the fight and render aggressive patient care, not only to himself, but also to those who have fallen around him. From the initial contact to a position of cover, those skill sets will be taught which will enable the individual to fight and assist the traumatized while injured. Integration of physically demanding patient intervention and live fire techniques developed by Talon Defense and recognized under the moniker of “Injured Shooter” are designed to mold the disciplines of pre-hospital trauma care and weapons manipulation into a seamless response. The medical component of this course builds upon recognized doctrines of “Care Under Fire” and “Tactical Field Care.” No prior medical training is required for this course. The firearms component requires the student to have mastered at least an intermediate level of pistol proficiency. Potential students are advised that this course is mentally and physically demanding.

If you want to take some driving classes, check out BSR.  I have spent something like 80 hours on the track with them, and I can tell you it is top notch.

@Jenzilla has spent at least a brief time with BSR for training and can attest to their quality.
