I am planning out a small grab and go type chest rig to be used with my FAL but am having trouble figuring out which mag pouch to use.  I am setting up this rig like the one that will be for my AR: 3 rifle mags, one pistol mag, and a pouch for a multi-tool.  As the title suggests, I'll be basing everything off a TT Mini-MAV.  I've got my choices narrowed down to either 3 TT single 7.62 pouches or an EssTac 762 triple wedge from SKD.

Does anyone have any experience with either pouch that could give some high points or low points?  Any recommendations/advice on these (or other) pouches would be greatly appreciatied.

Thanks.

Look at the German surplus 7.62 mag pouches at cheaperthandirt, 99c each.

Not quite what I'm looking for.
I'd like something that can attach to a chest rig and has an open top configuration.

I'll second the TT 7.62 pouches.

I have 2 open top bungie ones mounted side by side on a leg rig and they work just like the AR ones.

They have 2 deep ones with flaps and buckles as well.

I am a tactical tailer fan as well.  All the tactical tailor that I have is very high quality, durable and well made.  I use their vest carrier and I recently bought Tactical Tailor MP-5 pouches from Buck at Blackstone Tactical......definitely can't go wrong with tactical tailor or Blackstone Tactical.

I'd go with the TT ones. Just personal preference.

The Malice clip set up on TT pouches are very strong.

Have you even used these or held one?   These are crap.  They are plastic, fall apart, and are cheap.   There is a reason they are 99c

Well, the consensus seems to be for the TT single pouches.  Will I be able to fit all three in the center of the Mini-MAV with a pistol mag pouch on either side?

Thanks for the input.

If you still open to a two mag pouch look at emdom.  You can use this pouch in a bunch of different ways.

I do also like the looks of the Emdom pouches.  Damn, yet another option to consider!
